Asphalt paving projects can be a real pain to navigate around, especially in residential communities with hundreds, possibly even thousands, of members. That’s why, at Bituminous Roadways, we take great care to make life as easy as possible for HOAs and their residents when we’re performing asphalt repairs or maintenance.

What can your HOA expect when you partner with BR for an asphalt paving project? Read on to find out!

Consistent Communication

If any circumstances arise that may interfere with your HOA’s asphalt paving project, Bituminous Roadways personnel will reach out with additional information as promptly as possible. When weather conditions necessitate rescheduling of a project commencement or completion date, we’ll provide the community with revised dates as soon as possible.

In addition to communicating promptly about potential project interferences and rescheduling needs, we’ll also reach out to let you know:

  • When irrigation must be turned off so water doesn’t saturate the pavement’s subgrade
  • If you’ll need to reschedule routine garbage service, lawn service, and other community services your HOA may rely on
  • Whether you’ll need to contact delivery companies (ie: Amazon, FedEx, UPS, etc.) to let them know certain areas may be inaccessible on specific days

Your project estimator will also be available to address any major questions you may have. Our estimators are in constant communication with our crew foremen and project superintendents and are more than happy to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.

On-site Project Foreman Who Can Address Questions and Concerns

If HOA board members or community members have questions about the project, there will always be Bituminous Roadways personnel on-site to answer them. Aside from the labor personnel who will be performing the asphalt paving, a crew foreman will also be present for each crew working on the project.

A project superintendent or estimator may also make periodic visits to the worksite to check in on the project’s progress. Any questions or concerns can be directed to a foreman, superintendent, or estimator, and personnel wearing yellow vests can also address inquiries.

Safety Barricades and Traffic Control

While the paving project is in progress, our team implements barricades, traffic cones, and caution tape to block off the worksite and ensure the safety of the public and our crew members. Before the project gets underway, we’ll also take the time to assess traffic control needs for the HOA community, so we can implement the appropriate safety measures once our crews arrive on site. In some cases, Bituminous Roadways works with local authorities on lane closures or other traffic control needs.
