What Are the Responsibilities of Utility Superintendents?
Our utility Superintendents have multiple shoes to fill in their shifts.
Project Coordination
One of the primary responsibilities is coordinating the scheduling of inspectors, vendors, consultants, and subcontractors. This includes having strong organizational skills to ensure each project is completed on time and within budget.
Quality Control
BR has a strong reputation for a reason, so the superintendent’s job is to inspect the work and materials and monitor regulatory standards during the asphalt paving process to maintain quality control.
Communication & Support
Another aspect of this position is communicating with the project team and supporting each subcontractor in executing their duties successfully through regular meetings and updates.
Daily Log Maintenance
A written daily log of visitors, problems resolved, job actions performed, and materials used on the job site must be kept. From pavement rehabilitation to sealcoating, the superintendent keeps track of the project's progress and resolves issues if they arise.
Problem Resolution
