This Bituminous Roadways asphalt drum plant was installed in 2000. This property houses the asphalt pavement
mixing facility, a quality control testing lab and our trucking dispatch center.
The Shakopee asphalt plant has been awarded the MAPA (Minnesota Asphalt Pavement Association) Ecological
Commendation Award consistently since the year 2002. This award program recognizes asphalt pavement production
facilities that best demonstrate safe and responsible environmental practices. The award nomination also takes
into consideration design layout, community relations and clean operation.
