David Horsager is the author of a book titled “The Trust Edge.” In December we attended an industry workshop where he presented 8 key components to gaining trust. Those are: Consistency, Clarity, Compassion, Character, Competency, Contribution, Connection, and Commitment.
As I listened, my mind kept taking me to the word clarity. With so much potential for change I’d found it difficult to maintain focus. Wondering whether this lack of clarity was isolated only to me, I approached several of my workplace peers and asked whether any particular word stood out. It was unanimous. Everyone pointed to the word clarity, just as I had.
So, we revisited our strategic plan and our company’s organizational chart and made a few changes. These changes resulted in seven promotions within the organization. We also created a new division which specifically addresses pavement maintenance.
It is our intention to embrace change as the opportunities for improved products and services present themselves. We feel we need to offer our customers the best solutions if we are to continue exceeding our customer’s expectations.
