BITUMINOUS ROADWAYS MINNEAPOLIS ASPHALT PLANT

Written by Bit Roads on . Posted in Uncategorized

Bituminous Roadways has been operating an asphalt plant on Longfellow Avenue in Minneapolis since 1952. Since that time, we have installed 3 new plants and have taken serious measures to reduce any negative impact we might have on the neighborhood in an effort to blend into the community.

  • This past spring, we painted the facility in earth-tone colors to neutralize our appearance
  • We designated Hiawatha Avenue as our main haul route to reduce traffic on surrounding residential streets
  • Over the past decade, we have added a modern dust collection system, odor suppressants to our liquid asphalt cement, and specialized equipment and additives that reduce emissions
  • We’ve recently modified our equipment to produce quieter safety measures during operation

We also have asphalt plants in Inver Grove Heights and Shakopee. Our presence in these communities enables us to service the entire Twin Cities metro area and provide a better quality, cost effective product. We always strive to be good neighbors in these communities and will continue to make necessary improvements or upgrades to keep it that way.
